The answer is B, but the expression about "told he could not leave" is correct???  shouldn't such expression be " told that he could not leave"??? confusing!

其实宾语从句的that可以省略.

我在别人的总结中看到宾语从句的that不能省略,定语从句that可省略。不知有没有权威的例子给出来, 谢谢先.

不选这个你选哪个?一般来说gmat里面的that都是不省的,但总有例外.我听白勇的录音好像说:顾全大局就行,在这个句子里面,that只是一个辅助,你加个that读一下,反而拗口.省与不省,不是100%的规则,有一个地方绝对不能省,就是同谓语从句,我指the reason, finding..后面加that,呵呵.

If "that" can be omitted here, choice b is the best. However, choice D seems no grammar errors within it, how do u think this? Many thanks.

I know what both you said, but why cannot we treat the sentence like below:

(D)The suspect in the burglary was advised that he had a right to remain silent, (the suspect)  could not leave, and (the suspect) was interrogated in a detention room.

无论如何,这样读上去非常不爽, 三个句子的意思不太平行.  看来有些规则不能生搬硬套，谢谢大家.
