GMAT 800=20 points in top-10 admission system?

Hi everyone,

Do admission offices in top-30 business schools use a grading system to admit applicants?
For example: GMAt 15%; GPA 15%; WE: 15%; Essay: 15%..... I have heard that some BS are using such system.

If a business school is using the grading system and puting 20% on GMAT score, does it mean that score of 800 will be equal to 20 points and score of 700 will be equal to 17.5 points?

Hi, buddy, where did you get this information? I do believe schools use some formula to screen applicants. But nobody knows how those factors are used in the formula.

好像是GMAT分数除以11加上 GPA乘以 2，产生一个基本学术指标。然后这个指标在每个学校的录取中起不同的作用，有的是过滤，有的是加权

haha, Law school do use it publicly.  For B-school, I know many schools under top20 emphasize it a lot, because they want to move up the rankings.

for top 20 MBAs, come on, it is a professional degree, they care more about your potiential to get a job than it. (not saying they don't care)
