注意：

1、             not only did A/As do, but it/they also do

2、             while表转折让步时才能省略主语和系动词，表示当。。。时不能省略

以上是F大牛对此题的解释

对Ｄ我还是很不理解:我认为while表时间也是可以省略的，就像when一样.那么,D还有什么不对呢?

找了一个这个句子。不过也说不上来为什么D就是不对，看着E比D好。

等着NN来讲讲WHILE吧。

不是NN，说说我的理解，这里的retrieve和avoid从逻辑上讲是并列的，D的话把avoid作为伴随，所以错。其次，simultaneously while ...这里的simulataneously应该修饰avoid，可是D里面却awkardedly修饰了while从句。

asupls说的有道理，D里面的simultaneously位置是不太好，并且，simultaneously=things that are simultaneous happen at exactly the same time ,充分说明了文中要表达是两个同时发生的动作。

如果有逗号，通常是while引导的是时间状语从句，表示持续的动作，说在avoid这个动作的持续状态下，astronauts在retrieved。这个和要表达的两个动作同时发生是不一样的。

如果此句中while表示转折，那通常不逗号，直接是：space shuttle astronauts retrieved an orbiting satellite while avoiding being rear-ended by a passing ultraviolet telescope.但是文中没有转折的意思。

原来有讨论过了啊~看到置顶里没有贴就直接发新的了呢

闹闹有关avoid无法持续这个说法真是太绝了,佩服佩服

不过我又想了想,觉得while和simultaneously似乎还是有些重复的.因为while这里是表示当...时候

while at the same time是不重复的 是因为这个while是当转折讲的

不知道我这个想法对不

请指教^^
