If you ultimate objective is going abroad, a MS degree from a domestic univeristy could not help you in anyway. Working in a Fortune 500 company for a couple of years could make you a competitve candidate for your business school application. The marginal return of business education in China is super-convergence. This is determined by the overall situation of China's job market and the characteristics of the business discipline. China is a country full of welled educatated college students whereas its economic structure is labor intensive industry oriented. Simply put , raw labor (Ming Gong) is much more demanding than educated college students, which is predetermined by the economy of this country. Moreover, the business discipline is a branch of social science, a soft science. Unlike engineering and and sciences, your ability can not be measured by hard scales, which makes employers prefer to recruite experienced professional than fresh graduates, due to the asymmetrical information. Addtinonly, in the business world real world experience is much more valuable than theories, especially in a country like China where the operation of business is not regulated by law but determined by connections ( GuanXi). Therefore, the business principles you learned from books can not be applied to the real world. That's why in the stock market, those illiterates could make tons of money by their feeling while weel educated finnace phd end up pawning their underwears becasue of using sophosicated quant models to predicate market trends. So, working for several years could help you better understand what your really need and strengthen your backgound as a high profile applicant. That's just my $0.03.
