No doubt that boss has a strong influence of people’s daily life nowadays for not only the matter of money, but also the mood. Everyone dreams for an ideal boss, some people argues that a perfect boss should have the characteristic of easy-going, while some view a generous boss is the good one. I admit the importance of those qualities, however, some other personalities are considered more essential in my point of view.
Honesty, from my perspective, is the quality I would like to put first. Honesty is always the mark of being reliable and faithful. I can not imagine working with a boss who is not honest: first, I could not devote myself to work if I work with this kind of boss and I would be always skeptical to my career. In addition to this point, that a manager of a famous foundation was arrested for his not being honesty leads me to conclude that only with the honesty and faith inside can a boss be relied on.
Some friends of mine always believe that the first character that their future Mr. Right should have is responsibility, which is also the quality that makes a good boss. One of my friend said to me that she left her job only because that her boss was lack of responsibility; the boss sometimes was absent for the meeting even used working hours for shopping. The case is not rare, it is one of many examples I have heard. Without responsibility, there is no meaning to list other qualities since no employees will believe in them.
There is absolutely every reason for us to accept that creativity is one of the most important qualities for a boss. That widely used Hi-tech and advanced management accelerate the process of revolution represent the significance of creativity. With creativity, a company can stay alive and develop. Bill Gates is always the symbol of creativity, and that makes him a great boss.
From what has been discussed above, we could safely reach the conclusion that honesty, responsibility and creativity are the essential qualities a good boss should possess. Though we may feel that sometime boss is a symbol of hell, a good boss is still somewhere waiting for you.
