give 的主语不一定是人

原题明显是在考这个惯用语的用法:
A. afford someone with opportunities 错, 应为: afford someone the opportunity 没有with
B. 没有permit opportunities 的用法
C. 标准用法
D.E, 改变了原意, 至少应改为Visitors. 不然的话是特指某个visitor

10 題中有以上3題考到了關於“WITH/WITHOUT” 短语的用法。(1，2，7)。 有几个令我困惑的问题。

(1) WITH/WITHOUT” 短语就近修饰主句中的哪个成份。我一直以为它应该修饰主句中主语的动作。但是在第2题中， “with different colors that mark the passage of time like the rings in a tree trunk" 应该是修饰 “layers of sediment” (主句中的宾语)。

(2)WITH/WITHOUT” 短语前有逗号和没逗号的区别。

(3)WITH/WITHOUT” 短语放在什么地方不会引起歧义。如果说第7题，"without the aid of telephoto lenses“放在“lions playing in trees”后会引起歧义，那么第1题里“with emotional overtones ”放在 “marine world”后就不会引起歧义吗。
