i talked about my background when I posted my kellogg offer...which i should say rather traditional..big 4 plus M&A, 4ys w/e, average G&T, good college record, but i think i made myself stand out through the essays....the adcom told me they were very excited to know me after reading my essays...so if i have to give some ideas for future applicants, i would say, compose your essay with your heart and soul, and bring it out both logically and passionately. actually i didn't have anyone to polish or revise my essays..you don't really need that help if you've a clear mind.

I admit kellogg has a bigger fame but personally chicago's left me a far better impression during the admission process. anyway, haven't decided yet...will find out more with the alumni...

I would suggest you talk (better face-to-face) to those schools' current students or alumni to get the direct feeling if you can not visit the campus before deadline.

I'm interest in Finance too. If I were you, I'll choose Chicago without hesitation.

I live in University of Chicago. If you want finance, you should take GSB which is NO.1 in finance.

Welcome to Chicago! I might not be in a good position to offer some unbiased comments here given the fact that I am currently second year at ChicagoGSB. The school should set up shortly a conversation for you with a current student and you may want to ask him/her the questions that you are mostly interested or concerned with. Certainly I will try to answer some of them here if I can.
