saw this in gd, hope it helps I don't have friends who are currently in Cornell's program, but I did talk to a Cornell graduate with a M. Eng in OR & IE, who is working as a quant for a top commercial bank. He didn't have much updated information about the FE concentration, but he told me that a quite high percentage of OR & IE graduats without an FE concentration looked for and found job in quant finance back then (three years ago, I guess). Also, Cornell does not really have a Financial Engineering degree, but a M. Eng with an FE certification. So when considering program size, one may have to consider the whole OR & IE program. Maybe that's why a previous post mentioned that the class size in Cornell is 100 since many courses are the same across different concnetrations in the OR & IE program.
