How is lz's oral English? Were you rejected by USC and ND after interviews? If yes, it's probably because of communication problems. Placement rates are very important to MACC programs, and thus the schools tend to put strong emphasis on oral capability and communication proficiency, since these also are highly valued by Big four and major recruiters. In other words, if they feel that you have difficulties in expressing yourself, they may reject you even if you have strong credentials in other aspects. If your dream is to pursue a master's degree in a good school and then work in the accounting industry in the U.S., I would advise you to look for a job in a US-based business first and work for 1-2 years, and try very hard to improve spoken English during these days. Whenever you feel confident in communicating with English-speaking people, it's time for you to apply to some good schools again. My point is, without strong oral communication skills, even if you can get offers from good schools, you may encounter a hard time during the recruiting process in the U.S. |
