What does it mean?? can't understand

I mean one top 20 school denied the application from one guy and then two months later, this school sent the interview invitation to this applicant. This applicant felt very strange and sent email to ask the school. The school then said sorry for making a mistake on the rejection. So this applicant did the interview on the new year eve. Then a few days passed, he got again a ding letter.

Admission or rejection is not playing games.

Hi, Brucejohnson, you have so many admissions. Leave some opportunities to others.

Ross seems to have a pre-program for the international students. Many schools also have different workshops in June or July. So July 15 is too late.

Brucejohnson, 你不是已经被Yale录取了吗，所以无所谓了，正羡慕你呢。我觉得Ross发这么多WL不大厚道，明摆着给人画饼充饥。而且要等到7月才给final decision，多么无视国际学生的实际需要呀！对Ross的印象已经有点儿打折扣了，恐怕即使被录也没有原来那样的憧憬和热情了。I want to go to some place that wants me badly.

刚刚又看到有人拿到Ross offer又认为是鸡肋的，冷暖两重天啊

很理解LZ的心情，不过WL每年都有，也不是只WL中国人的......7月15应该只是deadline，去年WL上来的人5月底就都拿到offer了。5月1日是回复offer letter的deadline，学校需要几天时间来收所有的回复，进行统计。然后需要一点时间来进行WL筛选，5月底发offer不算太没有效率吧。之所以deadline定在7月15只是保险起见，因为也有人即使交了押金承诺要来，到开学前也可能不来的，有的可能上了别的学校，有的可能是突然接到了很好的工作......这种情况下，学校会继续发offer。其实deadline定的晚机会更多啊。

就算最差情况7月15拿到offer，也来得及的。9月5号才开学。summer的program不是必须的。

Good point. No offense to the school, but choosing school is like choosing job and marriage, it's a two-way process.

Ross is ranked higher this year. Maybe the admission strategy has changed to more like some other schools ranked even higher.

After sitting in different MBA classes, I realize that it's more valuable if you are sitting in a room with people who have a lot of working experiences. ExecMBA>EveningMBA>DayMBA. In MBA, you learn as much, if not more, from your classmates as from the professor. What can you learn from people with only 1-2 years working experience?

Unfortunately, you've got the supply-demand relationship somewhat backwards in this case.  Ross, as does any other school, wants good students, students that can add to its MBA program, and will succeed with a Ross MBA, but its Wait List policy is no different than say, Tuck.

I think it is a bit self-absorbed to assume a school would want you "badly."
