well,when I sent a thank-you letter to Laura after receiving the pre-admission, she replied as followed:"Hello ***, that is terrific news!We look forward to meeting you soon. Please let us know if... otherwise we will see you on campus in late August!". It's kind of confirmation, i think.
what is a pre-admission? The email sent by the graduate school saying that the Graduate School component of your application for admission is complete and is being sent to the faculty in your proposed major field for review?
the mail you received is different from the one I have. Mine is one saying my passing the review section of the department while yours is another one saying your materials for application completed. Now you have to wait for the departmental review.
