根据句子的意思，decide to accept不应该被分开，排除bde
c项应该在1833后面加一个逗号

为什么要加逗号呢，而且名词优于分词啊。我觉得C比A说的更清楚呢。

When referring to a founding year, you cannot talk of it in a possessive form, as you may ask: "does it have another year's founding?" Thus, A and B are out! We are left out with C, D and E.

E "deciding on the acceptance of" is plai wordy.

The difference b/w C and D is more subtle but involves a crucial difference in logical understanding. C means that Oberlin College was founded for the decision to accept both men and women and that's why it was considered a renegade institution. Alright, you can found X for some cause but for a decision... It is a NO-no.

ie Centraide was founded for the decision to protect underprivileged children. X 

D is the best answer choice.
