请问一下,关于102题,OG官方解释,给选项E的是,them can not refer to book illustrations becuase the plural noun is the object of the preposition in.

我认为her book illustrations是复数,为什么不能用them呢?

102,Beatrix Potter,in her book illustrations,carefully coordinated them with her narratives and capitalized on her keen observation and love of the natural world.

THEM 这里没有指代对象.没错BOOK ILLUSTRATIONS 是复数, 但只是插入语, 主句中的代词不能指代插入语中的名词.
