问一下哦，答案是C，可是为什么是they do today 而不是they are today . 补出的助动词不应是和主句的助动词一样吗！

be able to相当于can，而can可以省略，所以应该是they (can) do today

主语是musical superstars,谓语是have never been able to command,

as后面的they是说的superstars，谓语提到是现在的时态，所以用they do today。

恩。我这么理解之。。。

可是按理说不是有情态动词时要补出情态动词省略动词吗，那就应该是they (can) today了啊，也就是在本题中they are today . 而且也是现在时态啊。

当can和do存在的时候，肯定是省can，这道题的情况是，有没有can都无所谓，但要把do的意思表达出来；有today当然是用现在时态

我同意MOON的观点.
LS: 我人为CAN HE DO存在时应该省略DO.
E.G. I CAN RUN LOT FASTER THAN HE CAN.

该题和...than...还不太一样，than的前面就是can的动词，但such...as they can do，如果消去do的话，会产生句意的混淆，不符合英语的语法习惯

同意2楼的。

个人理解as后面是 they command fees today.

所以补的是do，are的话至少还要加able to

我觉得这里和do相对应的就是command fees，跟前面的be able to一点关系也没有。

可是我觉得省去do 没有产生什么歧义啊？还有为什么用are 的时候要把 able to 加上呢？
