A與D的差別，我想涉及兩個問題:

一是，must 與 would have to 的差別，二是，said之後的句子，是否為事實，還是假設情況。

第一，雖然中文裡，must 與 would have to 都翻譯成"必須"，但是語意不太相同。我曾在一本字典上看過，它的解釋是，must表示是說話者主觀上認為必須，would have to 是客觀環境迫使必須，與說話者的意念較無關。因此，must的語氣會比would have to 強烈，would have to 語氣較為客氣。

第二，如果說或者說出來的事情是事實，要用直說法，不用假設法。譬如: Mary told me that the sun rises in the east.D不好的原因，應該就在於句子是假設語氣，與原句的直述語氣不符。
