不是很理解OG里面的这句话，他是说表述一个不确定的未来的事情would比will好？而不是因为主句用了过去时所以要用would？

那如果原句是：

The company announcs that its profits declined much less in the second quarter than analysts had expected and that its business would improve in the second half of the year.

其中主句用了现在时，那从句中是不是也应根据og讲的规则仍然用would呢？ 请NN解惑

情态动词, 主要针对would和should, 用法分为情态动词的用法和非情态动词用法,

例如: If I were you, I would choose that one, 这里的would没有任何含意, 只是表达一种不确定的可能性, 也就是我们常说的虚拟语气.

但是像OG这题里面, would就是一种情态动词的意义, refer to a promised but uncertain future event.

Welkin, 你的修改中would仍然表示一种情态动词的意义, 所以个人观点仍然用would.

突然发现我们是同一天注册的呢？唉.... 我落后了

那would是做情态动词时和will的差别是：前者表示对未来的事情不是很确定，而will表示确定的意思，他们两者都能用在动词为一般现在时的宾语从句中。 如：sb  v（一般现在时）that... would...  

请问能这样理解吗？

will似乎没有表达情态动词的语气的意思, 即使有, GMAT中也不考, will就是一个助动词, 表示将来时.

would可以用在一般现在时中, refer to a promised but uncertain future event.
