我选D.

我觉得C有两个错误。1。如果用定语从句from which 来修饰script，那定语从句没有主语啊，因为from which是这个定语从句的状语啊，which不是主语。2。定语从句的谓语derive时态不对，发生在过去，应该用过去时啊，即使不用过去时，也该用derives三人称单数啊，因为无论derive这个动作是Achaemenid empire还是script发出，都是单数主语。

有没有人可以解释一下呢？谢谢。

只知道第一个,定语从句的主语是which,from是把derive from里的from提前了.还原一下原句应该是 derive both the northern and the southern Indian alphabets FROM WHICH(the Aramaic script).我也觉的C里的derive应该用单数形式.

你错了 .你这种用法的话应该是the northern and the southern alphabets  are derived from the armaic script

C，正确理解应该是both the northern and the southern Indian alphabets derive from the Aramaic script.

有两种可能的理解：

 1 both the northern and the southern Indian alphabets derive from the Aramaic script.

 2 the Aramaic script derives from both the northern and the southern Indian alphabets

因为如果关系代词whom或which和一个含有介词的及物动词短语连用时，介词应放在关系代词的前面。derive from这里的derive 显然是不及物动词。所以2的理解是错误的，因为若是这样理解就成了，

the Aramaic script,  which derive from both the northern and the  southern Indian alphabets 这时from是不必前置的～

显然无选项合适。那么该题就是第一种解释了～
