原先认为是 and he faced和he was living并列,其实he was living...的两个伴随状语并列 watching...., and facing

所以答案是D

但是我有两个疑问

1 and前面应不应该有逗号? 因为这两个并列状语中没有插入语,我觉得不应该加逗号

2 three years earlier是过去时的标志,为什么答案用了过去完成时?
