I was an exchange MBA student in Washington University in St. Louis. Its PhD program seems to focus on accounting and financial but not management. Students spend one whole year to study micro and macro economics but these two are not useful for HR or OB. So do not understand??

sm1这里说的economics课是不是Econometrics I and II啊？如果是的话那就正常了，基本上所有的PhD program第一年都是Econometrics，基础来的，很有用的！

Economics is useful for most business studies but not for OB and HRM. Four to five years is very short. For OB or HRM PhD students, we have a lot other things to learn.

我个人觉得，如果是研究reward system，多学点economics也好。不过不管怎样，statistics对于HR的学生来说还是最有用的

LR偏劳动关系方面，要对法律和工会很熟悉，HR就是HR了
