只是觉得这种把主谓断开的举例一般都应该做插入语的成份

当有插入语时可以不考虑它，直接跳过使谓语和前面的主语数上保持一致

但如Ｃ这种表示方法，是否还可以看得清谓语的数应该如何处理？

你的前半句我很赞同，但remains是谓语，故前面不应该有that。此句主语是the market，如果选C，则似乎强调commodities，而且metal不能作为commodities的例子；而使用了插入语，则清楚地强调了主语market，所以还是应该选E。另外这里like不是举例，而是表比较。

一点愚见，请大家批评。

换一个角度思考，假设E就是正确的，那么like作何解释？
