工作年限有多重要，R1全军覆没。

我一个好朋友，05年毕业。北外金融系。R1申请了Wharton,Chicago,Columbia,CMU,结果全军覆没。

GPA,G/T都很高，工作背景是一年德勤北京，到目前为止半年TOP商行。另外读大学时在外面做了两年的兼职会计，一年新东方英语口语教师（他靠半工半读完成学业）

你们觉得学校拒他是认为他工作年限太短，还是他其他方面没有做好呢，比如ESSAY。

Hard to say. In terms of working experience, quality is over quantity; while in terms of other aspects, self-awareness is more important than working experience itself.

那几个金融牛校很多金融背景很强的人都申请的,他的经验和那些人比起来真的比较少把,如果2个差不多背景的,一个5年经验,一个2年,你觉得学校会找谁呢?

收了他对学校的diversity也不见得帮助那么大,要么他是女生的话,大概会好点(乱猜..),所以据了...

至于CMU,我也不知道...

要么他觉得他是天才选手,可以去试试 S校....

以上都是我乱猜,还是请大牛出来说话把....

who knows the reason, if he or she worked for three - four year, got ding from the 4 schools, then what will you think is the reason, maybe different school ding him or her with different reasons.

不知道了,貌似一般很多学校都把3年一下工作经验的申请人单独出来讲解一番...

MBA很看重essay的吧，从essay中能了解你工作和生活到底学到了些什么或者你到底有什么“料”

With less woring experiences, topics and qualities to demonstrate in essays would surely be less, then the essay may become less competitive...
