I am currently enrolled in the MBAst program (the name has been changed to MBA for next year). A high percentage of students here are interested in finance and/or consulting, and the majority of on campus recruiters are from these two areas. So far, at least six students have got jobs in finance (we have altogether 53 students), at least three in I-banking. Starting from next year, the studets will be able to take electives earlier on so they can be more specialized in finance (if they choose) before the OCR (on-campus recruiting). There are at least five students have offers from consulting firms so far this year. Many others are interested in general management, marketing, and etc. I agree that Rotman has the advantage in its location, but the job hunting process is totally individual and has strong correlation with your personal effort. |
