答案是A,这里为什么用in binding?这是be crucial in doing的用法吗? --Yup!

答案是B,这里的that显然代替了distribution of mass.可是根据我的理解that只能代替核心词distribution,应该只有it才能代替整个词组distribution of mass? - Don't be confused by the words.The distribution of "that" and "it", e.g.in the sentence " ___ is my bag", both "that" and "it" are suitable, indicates that the word "that" and "it" have the same grammar function. And according to my previous explanation on the "of" structure, both of them could refer to , the first noun and the second noun in the " noun+of+noun" structure.

(C) almost as much in worth as those of the remaining four hundred thousand firms - there should be an "are"

我的XDF补充材料上C选项中是firms,不是firm。怎么我们俩的版本还不一样啊？

我上XDF班的时候发的资料，就是XDF补充材料，就是FIRM，没有复数，我查了，很奇怪为什么不一样。

在这里怎么是做介词呢？形容词吧？直接修饰goods。

BTW，gemj兄做语法题的时候还扣单个词的词性吗？

在worth almost as much as (those of the remaining four hundred thousand firms)中
(those of the remaining four hundred thousand firms)显然是WORTH的宾语，形容词怎么能跟宾语呢？
当一个词关系到句子结构的时候，它的词性一定要搞清楚啊。
