有没有打算申请Joint Degree的？申请有点疑问请帮忙：）

打算申请美国某大学的一个JD和PHD JOINT DEGREE，可是不知道申请这样的学位课程是不是需要提交RESEARCH PROPOSAL，因为学校网站以及2006-2007的PROSPECTIVE手册上都没有详细说，我已经给该课程的教授和法学院院长都写了信，可惜都是没有回音，不知道是没有收到我的EMAIL还是根本不屑一理？郁闷！！也不至于这么大架子吧？？？！！！

请问各位高人，如果遇到这种情况怎么办呢？放弃这个学校？或是干脆准备一份RESEARCH PROPOSAL，即便多余也没什么坏处？我私下里想，因为是和JD 合并的，所以怎样也要先上JD的课嘛，照理说RESEARCH PROPOSAL也应该JD的第一年或第二年再说吧？？不知该推断是否为臆断了？？？

亦或者，我直接打越洋电话过去问？？？郁闷总之，当初就要了个申请手册，他们还热情洋溢地写了好几封MAILS给我，现在真要申请了，居然连大气都不哼一声的，不理解唉！！！：（

PhD research proposal should not be a requirement for joint degree admission. But you will need to file two applications, one for JD and one for PhD. Both will be independent application, different reqirements. Go check the school's website.

如果没有记错的话，好像是分别申请。你可以看网站上有具体的说明。比如JHU和standford,upenn的joint program.在他们自家网页上就有。

就是因为学校网站上找不到才犯难,因为PHD是另外一个学校的课程...

Anyway, I'm going to write some letters to both Graduae School and the Law School budies!!!

对你的精神很佩服，不过你申请PHD并不能帮你进JD, 所以我不明白你干吗要去读这个PHD。

The reason for me to apply this PhD, which is also my ultimate Aim, hee hee...that is, atually...JD is the aid-course for my pursuing PhD. These are in my carreer and life plan, something I've been thinking, and struglling for two years, including lost, despair, upset, dissapointment, and pains, and one day I've found it in my big picture, something that have been put into my heart very clearly now.

If you have a belife, you will know the feeling, trust me, that's something you can do anythng for it!

Oh, BTW, I've studied the Admission Criteria very carefully today, and found out that the PhD course can only be applied after the first year of JD course upon the approval fromt the Law School. The doubt has not been cleared, my fault, hee hee, didn't pay attention to the 'details' Anyway, thanks a lot to those who have offered me advices upstairs!!
