Dear everyone: I am current working in a shipping/logistics conglomerate called Maersk Line for almost three years, First spent first two years as a trainee with such functions as customer service, telephone sales,E commerce, Marketing and pricing, business development. For foreign experience, spent one month in headquarter Copenhagen for modules/seminars with fellows from more than sixty nationalities.I Now work as the assistant manager of customer service team of 5 people and also held responsible for the business development of my business unit. The company is among Fortune 200 but not so famous for others who are not in the industry(but it's the biggest one in the shipping industry actually). I found it quite hard to write the short/long term goal essays to persuade the admission committee. Knowing diversity is a good thing, but I never feel the advantage til now since all the people around me getteing interview invitation are from Finance/Consulting/FMCG. I set my goal for schools among the list of top 20 and my current goal was working for a logistics consultant. Am I aim to high or what else I could do to make my application more visible and presentable to the committee? Below is my background. GPA not so good:3.3 GMAT:710 TOEFL:280 Major: Bachelor of Arts(major in Public Finance) Working experience: two years as a finance officer in the army three years in the shipping/logistics industry Just shoot whatever u have and gimme some ideas? Any one from same backgrounds who got an offer from top 20 in previous years pls help me? Thanks so much for all your help and attention |
