为什么，Like their male counterparts, women scientists 可以；而unlike men of science, their female counterparts 就不可以呢？

因为整个句子都是在讲women scientists的情况，but引导的句子也是在讲女科学家的情况。但是因为要和men of science对称，所以用women of science。

如果用their female counterparts， 这个their就指代不清了，unlike men of science后面总要有个明确主语来表示是 *** unlike men of science，这里***就是women of scienc。

嗯，同一句話裏的their只能指代一個對象，而前面已經出現過一次their樂。
