1. A.  同位于结构首先排除B、D。C中的THAT从句的被动语态没有了BE动词。

2、C。A、B根据动词形式排除（BE动词后），D的IS BY 结构后尽量跟动词，而且resistance to 是固定搭配。

3、觉得C的错误更明显、恶劣。

4、DESPITE 是介词，不能连接句子。

偶也觉得3、4的名词限定词挺迷惑，但是优先了其他更明显的错误。但是4似乎不用加限定词，因为LEADER是职位或者地位的名词。
