if you aim at top 30, your background is not strongly competitve. Most US university do not know much about Chinese Universities, except the the top few ones. Your weakness is that you do not have Master's degree from an English speaking country. Anyway, you can try to apply. By the way, most top schools do not care about GMAT score too much. They regard those whose scores are above the bottom line as having the same General Mental Ability. But some low ranking schools do care about applicants' GMAT score. Good luck!

Don't be scared. You can always give a try. After all, there is nothing to lose.

But if I were you, I'd keep working for at least one more year and do more research on PhD programs. Salary in consulting company isn't bad and you can get extensive exposure to various businesses in a consulting job. You can decide to go for a PhD or MBA degree after finding out your interest and comapring different career development possibilities.

Looks like you are still young. Don't run into hD programs in a hurry. After all, PhD is a serious commitment. You don't want to waste your life on something you may not even like.
