我相信B还错在by the,motor vehicles不需特指；而且扭曲了原句意思-所有汽车的污染物排放量之和。

B 中annually的位置不能算绝对错误吧.

B中:

as much as is emitted by,因为补出了系动词is,那么就是主语比较.主语是amount of pollutant. (后面省略的是 the amount of pollutant).结果后面一句补全就是:

the total amount of pollutant emitted annually by vehicles at O’Hare International Airport is twice
as much annually as the amount of pollutant is emitted by...

补全以后带回去看看原句,发现不对了. 比较的前半句,emitted是作为过去分词修饰pollutant的,而比较的后半句,补全代入,发现多了is.成了 amount is emitted....实实在在的一个被动句.

原句要2个总量相比,现在变成了: 前面系表结构,后面被动句,

twice是副词，用法跟two times一样

twice as many/much as....

twice greater than that/those.....

twice + 名词(that/those/或其他名词, e.g. population)

A. as much as that which is being emitted annually by all
(which is being emitted多余)

B. as much annually as is emitted by the (annually位置错误，应放在要修饰的对象前面, is基本上不用存在, 前面句子没有受词不会有比较的岐义，直接加that即可)

C. as much compared to what is annually emitted by all (as....compared to结构错误, 比较的另一对象应该用that or those)

D. that emitted annually by all

(that指代the total amount of pollutant, 符合 twice + 名词的用法)

E. that emitted annually compared to the (compared to the 无法和前面未画线部份的emitted by vehicles....对称)
