it指chalice，用来明确是chalice不被偷

比如：i find that security personnel is following me to keep me from being attacked.这里如果没有me，就会容易理解成security personnel 不被攻击；

改成被动时就是i find that i am followed (by security personnel) to keep me from being attacked.

我也不明白为什么要加it，只有一个主语chalice，chalice was buried to keep from/avoid being...

逻辑上应该没有错啊！

各位，我在LZM语法改错精解第18页上做到相同的题目E1－13，但答案解析中给出的正确答案是C啊。详细解释如下：

keep from在此处与avoid是同义的，可互相替换，但keep from的完整结构是keep sb.(sth.)from doing sth.,A项keep之后缺宾语，因此排除A，其余三个选项均比C复杂，所以选C，avoid后面跟动名词（－ing）形式。

我原先选择的是B。现在到底哪个是正确答案啊？我查了OG＿11th,第61题根本不是这道题啊，现在我想知道OG到底是哪个题号，想看一下原来的解释。谢谢。

答案是B,LZM是错的，这是og11 verbal专册上的，不是黄皮的那本，og10上也有

还有一个主句的主语Archaelogists ，

其实这题，以前有很多讨论的，各位可以搜索一下

in order to keep from可以省略成to keep from,而to keep from和to avoid在这里觉得应该是可以互换的，所以选以上任一个，都不能说其他两个是错的，所以用排除法，答案应该是keep it from
