For "diversification", I'd rather say that MBA office will still categarize you as IT background applicant.But it doesn't matter, cos our I don't think "diversify" advantage is applicable to everyone. In general, when we say diversity, we mean people from different countries and different industries with different job positions and various ages etc etc However, we seldome breakdown IT industry into such a detailed segmentation in regard of MBA admission, though techinically you might be working in a very unique species of IT job, which most non-IT personnel don't understand too much. On the other hand, you may also define "diversity" in another way- that is everyone has a different side. So Jacky is right.If you really want to differentiate yourself, try to work hard on your ESSAYS. You might elaborate more on your potential leadership, your work stories/experience,your expertise in any area..... Sometimes trivials can be your shiny point. |
