Deliberately imitating the technique of Louis Armstrong, jazz singer Billie Holiday’s

請教大家這題, 答案給D, 我覺得D的in the same way that other musicians use their
    instruments確實好, 但是難道ranged/flettened/recomposed不用平衡嗎, 這樣看答案變成只有Ａ了, 有點搞不懂, 請指教...

考虑到beat是节奏的意思，flattening是不是与之并列的名词？是的话是什么意思，ＮＮ们请指教

D應該是完全平行吧，所以才對

偶不是NN，第一步：排除A、B，因为句首的逻辑主语要求是人。答案只能从C、D、E中选。C和E也不对，如平行 ranging和 flattening如平行，要加and ;  D中没有别的错误，答案应该为D。

vote for A, ranged and recomposed parallel, flattening out is only to explaining ranged so do not need parallel.

"imitate的主语必须是人"这种说法是错的.

依据LONGMAN:
imitate解释2:to copy something because you think it is good:
例1:vegetarian products which imitate meat
例2:The Japanese have no wish to imitate Western social customs and attitudes.
例一中主语是物,而例二中主语是人.

所以,光凭"Deliberately imitating the technique"这一点就排除A和B不合适.
虽然我不理解range freely over the beat和flatten out the melodic contours是什么意思,但是我认为句末给了提示:to suit her range,style and artistic sensibilities.这三个结果应该与前面那三个动词(range, flatten, recompose)对应.从这个角度考虑,就只有A合适.

另外,flatten contours好像是指"缩小前后相邻的音的变化,使整个旋律更平滑"(参考"A flattened contour has a narrow range of pitches from the high to low points."------摘自http://edu.stuccess.com/knowcenter/Instrumental/yuelijichu/jazz/00000000/aoibook2.pdf),这么个过程似乎与recompose平行才说得过去.
