答案是C，但不知道为什么，总觉得看得不像

我不是NN,只是碰巧做过，试着解释一下。

A错，TWICE不能做BY的宾语。一般都是twice as many/much as...做副词用，这是我的理解。而且A读起来也怪怪的，不舒服。

B改变了句子本来的意思。increased more than two times 变成了增加了两次或更多。不对。

D。 被动错。

E。 from 1978 to 1985 应用一般过去式，所以也错。

这题可以用排除法做。只有A 解决了指代不清，时间逻辑混乱的问题。

B. it 指代不清

C. D,E都改变了原句的意思，变成了，Australia was considered antipodes after it became Australia.

谢谢eleine的回答，但第一题A中也有it，为什么它不是指代不清呢？

it可以就近指代名词的。在A里，指代AUSTRALIA， 而BEFROE的从句已经把AUSTRALIA 和antipodes的关系表达清楚了。
