让人失望的Rotman admissions office

在打了N个电话之后, 终于告诉我他们只有我的GMAT成绩和transcript. 这是在我递交Online application form, applicaton fee 和推荐人递交online reference letters之后的第三个星期. 每次和Rachel打完电话, 都觉得一种被敷衍的感觉, 让我怀疑她是不是个professional. 现在开始觉得申请Rotman是个错误, 他们admissions office really sucks!

建议大家递交rotman申请后, 尽快和admission office确认是否收到你的材料.

Have you tried emailing?  Maybe you'll get better answers that way, especially if someone else is in charge of responding perspective students' emails.

去过多伦多，不喜欢那里，chinatown很脏，和加拿大其他城市的人们比，感觉那里的人比较冷漠，可能是生活节奏快的原因。

建议楼住申请美国的学校吧，加拿大的学校里更喜欢UBC或者McGill。

Yes, I tried emails to different people.

I am going to withdraw my application, and will send an email to their director of AdCom to explain the unpleasant experience I had. I just want to show them I am serious about my B-school application and I am not interested in Rotman any more based on what the AdCom demonstrated.

速度好快呀，都搞好了。我也打算申Rotman， 第二选择，但资料还差很多。12号在北京面试，楼上的来参加吗？

I am not going to attend. I guess you may meet Cheryl for interview in BJ, she is the director of Rotman retruitment and admissions, a very nice and friendly lady. Just take it easy, make sure you speak English clearly, you will have a great chance to get in. Despite some AdCom officers, overall Rotman is a good school.

Keep in mind that you won't have to deal with the admissions again AFTER you get in.  Don't give up a good education so easily.  Have you tried getting in touch with the information session/other parts of the school?

因人而异吧，也有可能此人是个CONTRACT之类的。我今年年初在TORONTO申请感觉ROTMAN 的Admission Officer 是加拿大学校中最 professional 的。递交材料后就会有e-mail确认，整个申请过程调理十分清楚。ROTMAN的唯一缺点就是根本不想多招中国学生，所以把录取条件卡得死死的。

你讲的这些情况到是有些人在申请Schulich 时发生过。还有感觉IVEY的Admission Officer 都是做Sales出身的，接待非常热情，但是他们描绘的毕业生前景和我了解的相差甚远，不像Rotman的实在。

如果你想在加拿大读MBA，Rotman无论在Reputation 还是就业上都是加拿大最好的
