eg It is sometimes difficult to discriminate between edibel and posionous mushrooms.

discriminate sth .from

eg. You must learn to discriminate fact from opinion.

I have nearly understood it. But the excitement was ruined by an extra example from Longman.

A test is useful for discriminating those students who have reached a higher level from those at a lower.

我觉得discriminate A from B与discriminate between A and B两者的区别在于

前者是瞬时性、一次性动作

后者是经常性、系统性的动作，持续时间比较长

另外还有distinguish A from B和distinguish between A and B

也是类似情况。前者的意思是把A从A和B的混合物中鉴别出来，达到这个目的就算完事；而后者则是对A和B两样东西进行系统的研究、对比和区分

from 连接的两个对象一般有本质的区别吧，fact－opinion，wrong-true,Republicans - Democrats,

mood swings ---genuine manic-depressive psychosis

between连接的两个对象属于同一大类中的两个不同小类，genuine diamonds-imitation diamonds, The Use of Unit Values to Discriminate between Price and Quality Competition, Lotterty Designs to Discriminate between Shackle's Theory. Expected Utility Theory and Non-expected Utility THeories

突然想到的，不知道有没有反例？
