The International PhD Program (IPHD), Guanghua School of Management, Peking University aims at educating and developing young management scholars to conduct high quality management research in mainland China and globally. The 4-year full-time program, modeled after the PhD program in the North America, is designed for candidates with outstanding intellectual abilities and a strong commitment to conduct research and become excellent researchers and teachers at well-established business schools.
We have designed a one-day Fall Camp to provide information to master graduates who are interested in pursing a career in academic research and university professorship. The schedule for the one-day camp is on page two of this invitation.
IPHD Program Fall Camp Admission Criteria
1.A Master graduate from a recognized university
2.An interest in specializing in the area of Organizational Behavior/Human Resource Management, Marketing, or Strategic Management
3.Good command of both written and spoken English
Application Procedure for the Fall Camp
Please fill in the attached “IPHD Fall Camp Application Form” and send it to Christine You at 010-62751471 by Fax or iphd@gsm.pku.edu.cn by email by 10 Oct. 2006. We will accept a total of 60 applications into the Fall Camp.
1. A Master graduate with at least 1 to 2 years of work experience.
2. Competitive applicants should have good undergraduate and postgraduate grades, strong references, and some research experience, having a clear interest in pursuing a scholarly career with a position at a research oriented university.
3. A GMAT test score of 680,or higher, or a GRE test score of 1300 in minimum for verbal and quantitative sessions combined and a minimum of 4 for analytical writing. Scores lower than the requirements could be considered on a competitive basis.
4. Applicants who undertook their studies in a language other than English are required to demonstrate English language proficiency by providing TOEFL scores of no less than 600.
