我觉得应该选B

C里面比较变成了:

wild animals have less total fat than that (the total fat) of livestock

这样一来,就不是WA跟LIVESTOCK在比较了

比如:I have more pens than you (have).

而不是I have more pens than your pens.

而且在相同动词的情况下,and 后面的have是应该省略的.

B的表达“wild animals have less total fat than livestock”会造成是fat和livestock的比较.

只有前面句子没有宾语的时候，than后面的助动词才能省。比如 I am taller than you. 否则如果省略就变成宾语的比较了, 大家可以看一下区别：i have more pencils than you. 和 i have more pencils than you do.

不过more of a kind of fat,理解起来是比较别扭，是不是可以理解成：

more of -----     a kind of fat

关于more of找了一段网上的解释，请大家参考，我也正在理解中：

What he told us was more of an illusion than a reality.
more of在这里意为“更大程度上；更多地是… ”，后面一般跟than...，也可以省略than的部分。

但more of也可以表示一个群体里的更多的一部分，如More of my students want to do their homeworks by themselves.
