偶也选了A，但如果up until recently是习惯用法的话，那从意思来看，的确D比较合理。

1.A中sheltering所带的伴随状语太长，而且感觉跟until recently的关系很疏离，挺怪的。

2。until recently后面还是用完成时比较妥当

D中的sheltering如果修饰人的话，最好放前面

并且认为A和D的意思完全不同.
A中until recently,+ 过去时,说明Inuit人目前已不再居住在冰房子里了.
D中的up until recently + 完成时,说明Inuit人目前还住在冰房子里. 而且,即使要表达这样的意思,也应该用up till recently,不能用untill.

为了验证我的观点,特地查了查Inuit人现在是否还住在冰房子里,结果:
80％的因纽特人住在城镇，从事渔业、建筑业和服务业，他们同样实行5天工作制，按月领工资。20％还住在乡间的因纽特人，也已经搬进了固定的居民点里。

果然他们现在不再住冰房子了.
