A为什么不行？是否than后面要加"what it was"，而不是"it was"。逗号后是什么成分，同位语吗？比较的是什么成分，宾语？（因为比较的是动词account for后面的数字，动词后应该是宾语吧）。

有哪位能帮忙讲讲本题的结构，比如than前后的成分，及比较的结构。考试好像很多比较的题，我又挺弱。感谢！

我觉得不应该用was，补全的话than后面应该是：television costs accounted in any previous election。所以如果要补谓语，应该补的是did，而选项里面没有这项。所以选B

不知大家意见如何？
