[讨论] sentence I do not feel comfortable ..

Originally canoes were made by the hollowing out of logs and were used for combat as well as transport.

This is a corrected sentence in 2000 10, but i really feel uncomfortable with the part of ... by the hollowing out of logs ...

I will delete that the at the back of by ...like by hollowing out of logs ..

How do you think ?
