我是在一个普通的同义词解析上看到的。"to have the skill, strength, knowledge" 不正表示需要经过个人主观努力得到的嘛。原题中说得是游客都能看到layers, 不是需要某些能力和知识的才能看到。be able to有时用于将来时或者完成时代替can. 至于其内在的具体差别可能只有native speaker能体会出来。至于with放在句末，如果紧跟着layers,那么in canyon就得挪到tree trunk 后面，更歧义（layers in the canyon or tree trunk in the canyon." 综合考虑，with 放在句末最好。准确的表达意思就可以了啊。
