我怎么觉得到处都是这样的用法呢？such as:

The subscriber's contact information is also used to contact the subscriber when necessary, such as when the subscriber has forgotten his or her username or password.

对于suh as 的用法，我记得是跟名词和doing 。what 从句相当与是名词短语，所以可以跟。

至于这个句子，我的理解是这样的，实际上它跟了名词，只不过是省略了。补好就是 such as the occasion when  the subscriber has forgotten his or her username or password.

such as 一般有两种用法（1）such as 表列举。（2）可以做adv，意思为“象这样的”可以等于as, when是连词，副词修饰连词是没有错的。
