回五楼的问题，so that在这里做连词没有问题，见大全348（OG的题号我一时没找到）

1.        In 1527 King Henry VIII sought to have his marriage to Queen Catherine annulled so as to marry Anne Boleyn.

(A) so as so marry

(B) and so could be married to

(C) to be married to

(D) so that he could marry（D）

(E) in order that he would marry

此题正确答案是D。因此E的so that是没有问题的。相反我对D中的and so反而有些质疑，这里的so很明显是做连词而非副词，和and在一起这样的用法是否累赘呢？我搜索了大全，没有找到so做连词和and一起用的用法，虽然so做副词和and一起用的例子倒是很多。

另外，allow sb. to do sth和allow that两种用法应该都是正确的。所以我倾向于选E。希望大家能够多讨论。

allow that 要是承认的意思的话，那意思就更加难以说得过去了啊。

这样看来: allow sb. to do sth. 是使sb.做sth.  成为可能的；
而allow that 则是允许的意思

我做的时候，选的是E，主要是感觉比D简洁；不过现在看 “, so that” 由不确信了，一是前面有个逗号，可以这么用吗？二是so that是目的状语从句，而and so可以看作因果关系，我倒觉得因果关系更好些。不过如果从langman的解释看，只能选E了。
