香港科大VS ESADE or other EU schools?

i am currenly in a local investment banking. For family reason, I plan to advance my IB career in Hong Kong after MBA, wishing to work in those multinational IB like Goldman, Citigoup.  I have got an offer from HKUST and ESADE. Though ESADE is a good school, maybe it is not so strong in Finance, and the reputation in China or Asia is less than that in Europe, and the tuition fee is twice that of HKUST, so I prefer the HKUST( My family locates in Shenzhen, can balance the family and study as well).

But my friend in the IB of Citigroup also advised me Cass business school of University of City in London, saying that a lot of the alumni work in the finance industry, especially in UK and Europe, but I am not so sure its recognition in China and Hong kong. Manchester business school (MBS) will interview me in a few days, though it got quite big progress in the FT Ranking 2006, Is it strong in Finance? It is no doubt that LBS is the best, but currently my GMAT is not so good, so I am eager to hear from you the comparsion of HKUST and other European Business school in light of Finance, especially their employment   in the finance industry in Hong Kong.

So many thanks...

It depends on your personal goals such as where you want to develop your career and where to live in the future. If you have never been overseas, experience in Europe might be memorable and useful. I got HKUST offer as well and waitlised by LBS, but I have made up my mind to go to HK because I just want to go back to Asia...

I've studied in HKU for three years, I think that HK is a good place if you want to work in the finance industry. You will have very professional career training in the school and in the company. Also, the work experience there is quite valuable to mainland companies.

Try hard to make your Cantonese fluently, you will find a good job.

One more thing, HKUST's MBA has an excellent reputation in Asia.

我听说 在香港工作人通常每天工作到晚7-8点,房子又小。我还是不要去香港了。

还是去欧洲吧,大环境的不同所带来的效果也会有所不一。
