答案是E.

我一上来就把DE有as的给排除了。最后选了C.

有三个问题：

（1）a part of a deal 和part of a deal 有区别吗？

（2）E中的as是什么意思？C为什么不对？

（3）如果a part of a deal 和part of a deal 没区别，B是不是因为后边的makes时态不对才错的？

I think a part of a deal emphasises on the part and part of a deal emphasises on the deal.

As links the "part of the deal" with "the purchase".  C is wrong because "part of the deal" becomes a dangling phrase, with no direct connection to the previous sentence.

I think B and C have the same problem.

part of sth: emphasizes that 'part' is an integral potion of sth. eg. the eye is part of the body.

a part of sth: might have such a strong sense as the above.

这样是dangling phrase？

还是不理解purchase sth. as ....的意思？

btw, 同位语只能修饰名词. purchase the color-printing division of a rival compan for $950 million => 动词+宾语+介短.

part of a deal要作同位语只能修饰$950 million. 或, 补出一个名词, 如"入画"给的那题里的findings. 那这题就可以是
