如果REPRESENTING修饰的不是DICOVERY,那它修饰什么呢?
如果是修饰DICOVERY,那用WHICH语意也通

的确，WHICH不管指代谁，都不符合逻辑。我又查了WM中“represent”作为动词的11层意思，没有能说得通的。

最后，我认为representing four species of animals like cats, indicates that the animal survives …是作状语，虽然现在分词作状语一般放在句首或句尾，放在中间时错误的多，而且就算正确时也容易诞生歧义，但不是说不能放在句中。下面的这个句子（出张道真“实用英语语法”）就是例证（虽然这个例子并不能很好地证明我们所讨论的题目）：
The youngsters, shouldering spades and hoes, left merrily for the fields.

综上所述，我认为这几个选项中，A最好。不知大侠们意见如何？

representing 修饰 one feet and four teeth，不会是修饰discovery，因为discovery 不可能representing four species of animals，从逻辑意思上分析。另外，选项2，的WHICH修饰坚决排除，原因很简单，逻辑意思是修饰one feet and four teeth，而使用了represents。哈哈，SBBI，伤心吧，好孤独。

是啊，如果作状语，有逻辑主语的问题，那么逻辑主语还得是the discovery。

我看29好象可以结案了。现在大侠们再讨论一下SBBI的下面这个问题吧。

This one is very puzzling. If we do not consider that "their" should be "its", I'd say 1 is better, because I feel "may not only" in 2 is not clear. But I am not sure if 倒装可以出现在宾语从句中 as 1
又注:现在觉得2好.1是有些不对称."not only may the company"倒装后,我认为"but also"必须领一句话.(不知这么想对不对?).
2应该没毛病.
