大家谈一下对于MSF,商学院的学校品牌效应有多大?

因为本人也是master毕业，也经历了找Finance工作的过程，所以可以讲讲。

美国找工作填表的时候很多时候只有两个选项：Bachelor or MBA。很少有公司有选项是master degree。

当然也有些专门针对MFE的工作。

从找工作的难易程度来讲，可以这样说：

2+ years of experience + MFE > 2+ years of experience + MBA > 2+ years of experience + Master >= 2+ years of experience + Bachelor > Bachelor without experience >= MBA degree without experience

Btw, 美国人申请MBA都是因为想升职或者转行。因为同样工作三年或者五年以上，有MBA degree 升职和加薪的机会比没有MBA大很多。

Reputation和地点的问题，我的意见是，如果reputation相差很多，比如一个10, 一个30＋，或者一个20，一个40＋，那还是选择reputation好的那个，如果相差不多，还是选大城市吧。

只是个人看法。因为人们对MBA的期望就是有工作经验的，你如果没有的话，employer就不知道把你放在什么位置了。Master的话，还可以理解为什么没有工作经验。但总的说来，没有工作经验的graduate degree, 并不比bachelor有优势

MBA and MSF with good reputation are both good.

If the school is ok, I think MSF is better than MBA. For example in my univ (an ok school), MSF students have a much higher average GMAT score than MBA stuents. And the starting salary is about 15k higher for MSF students. Of course it depends on your preference and skills as well.
