和LZ的情况差不多。申请了COLUMBIA,CHICAGO, NYU. dinged by first two and waitinglisted by the last. Out of three, I spent most effort on chicago only (even went to chicago for fall preview). I really regretted i messed up my interview with alumus.

sorry if it's rude, but if you can share how you messed it up, it'd be great to other applicants (including me =) .  a search on CD only shows successful interview experience...

as to interview invite, i second realize's opinion.  have a look at your own application, talk to fellow CDers and incorporate adcom's feedbacks if all possible.  my round1 turned out to be a disaster, but i managed to calm down and go back to my app.  with the help from some kind CDers, i identified my essay's problems and redid my round 2 apps accordingly.  the result? i got chicago's interview.  

regardless of the eventual outcome, i'm one step closer--not only in b-school applications, but in my personal development as well.  in case i still ended up w/ a no-no result, when reapplying next yr, i know i'm on a starting line much closer to success than this yr's.

so cheer up and face whatever that's coming!

to be honest, I don't think they will give u an interview invitation just because of your call, because the decision of releasing invitation is not made by one person...

However, you can try for the 1pct probability of success if you don't expect too much!

I may be too cruel to you frd, but my suggestion is waiting.

I was dinged by all the five schools( HBS, Columbia, Stanford, Chicago and W ) without interview invitation last year. You can imagine how frustrated I was when the rosy map faded...But I thought there should be some problem with my application package, and polishing it is all we can do for the next year, isn't it?

Face the pressure bravely. This pressure is much easier to handle than the more frustrating pressure in the coming future...

Don't give up even you fail this year...I reapplied the same schools this year and got three interview invitations...

"thanks for my perseverance!" that was the first thing that came to my mind when I got the offer from Columbia, my dream school.

I am not saying this to show off, but just to tell you that you will succeed even you are dinged by all the schools without interview, unless you give up or defeated by something stupid, such as pressure...

Did you make a major change  in essays for your second try?

What did you do to improve your competitency? (The time in bwteen is less than a year, is it too short to make major change)
