Updated on 1/21: Thank you for all the nice words. Here's to follow up: Some ask about my final choice, which I haven't quite figured out yet. By the end of the day, it becomes a battle between innovative passion and traditional prestige; between venture capital and investment banking; between rising start-ups and established conglomerates; between following one's heart and following one's mind... In terms of interview tips, there's not much I can say other than the old cliche - be yourself. Just think of a conversation where you and colleagues/friends share educational/professional stories, industry trend, etc. Be enthusiastic, sincere, grounded and professional. Let your bright personalities shine, and before you know, you've made it!
Congrat first.
Sorry for taking the liberty assuming the Fortune 500 FS firm you mentioned is Capital One as they are recruiting heavily for typical profile as you have and swamped by Chinese students regardless of the majors as it becomes one of the most popular exit for Chinese MS degree holders in US. I just rejected Capital One for another brand recognizable management consulting firm cause I don't feel the w/e as BA,DA or FA in Capital One is quite much leveragable for top business school entry due to the nature of these jobs. I guess what really counts and get your foot into the door is your academic excellence and language proficiency. Correct me if I am wrong. Thanks! |
