in which 应该没错，但是第二个in好象重复了吧。

D的时态错了，过去完成时就一招，原文里要有个过去时间点明确动作是在这个时间点前完成的。

我也刚做完51－60，这题也错了，in which应该没有错，和where可以interchange的。但是答案选B，what are now temperate areas,这里为什么用"what"？

這邊是跟when還是where替換  or都可以

I think D is right because B is wordy with the what  clause and in D  past participal tense are used to say that the ice sheets had gone, that is now they does exist, which is accordent to the first part----Ice polished(刨蚀的)

Am I right？
